The Rampart

Lord of strength and mercy, 

Your mighty hand causes the earth to shake.

Your gates pull out the mighty oaks with firm roots.

I pray to you not to let your servant suffer your wrath,

let your Holy Fear guide me to rebuke those without.

Bear with this lowly servant, I pray that you will hear my plea.

Forgiveness is a gift that only you could provide,

grant us this gift, let the treasures of heaven pour down on us.

Convict us, chastise us, help this grace from heaven melt our hearts.

Help us to sin no more, to reconcile and be made worthy of Your redemption.
