Pride and Humility
A prayer for guidance, humility, and grace. We acknowledge our shortcomings and seek to align ourselves with God, expressing gratitude for His blessings and mercy.
As I struggle through this day and I feel Your warmth,
Lord God, my heart wanders and my mind seeks for solutions.
I place my confidence in You for Your way is perfect,
through struggles and all the hardships.
Lord God, bring forth the humble heart that only You could provide.
You take up my sins and shortcomings and constantly offer me grace.
I do not deserve Your grace, Lord God,
the air that I breathe, the solid ground that I am on, and the people around me.
Magnify that grace through me,
Let Your will amplify Your truth, and let this will be the way towards life.
I know humility, Lord God, and that is when I could not let go of my wants for Yours.
The shame that I bear, against all that I owe You.
Yet You remain gracious and patiently await my time to turn back to You.
Lord, keep me patient, Lord, keep me humble, let that same heart reflect back in what I do.
Thank You, Lord, for all the things that You have given me,
Thank You for the knowledge and truth that You have shown me,
I do not deserve it, and so let Your mercy open up for me.
