Reciprocating Love

More than what the eyes could see, Love sees in us something much deeper; More than just a bag bones and flesh, God has put a lot of thought onto our creation. Don’t you think that we in turn should learn how to both receive and give the same love that He has gifted us?

Odd isn’t it? Showing someone that you love them is one of the more difficult if not the most difficult that we could do. Often times the problem is with us, we just do know what people need, and isn’t that part of loving someone? To know! to understand their needs, so that in turn we can help them achieve what is best for them. It might be a purpose or you might even say a calling, and that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be in a primary role, but you have to do your part in order to help them move things in the right direction.

Here, therefore is the clincher, when we know someone long enough, we understand their needs. We can push them to do something, but if they are not ready or they have yet to fully grasp what to do, then it could end up that we push them away. We can also pull but if they have been pushed too far then it would be hard for us to reach them. People have the natural inclination to be drawn to bright things, sometimes the best way is to show them, is to be prepared when we are ready to present to them; allowing us to speak life into them, to help them to trust, to revive a broken soul. It also requires knowing yourself and what you want in life, so that you would be swayed if they start moving in a different direction.

Love can be intoxicating and that is why you must be prepared to receive it. If a person not ready to receive takes part in it, then it naturally brings out the worst in them. While on the other hand when someone receives it and they are already made whole, it would them amplify their true self, and the love that is poured onto them, creates an overflow that wants to naturally reciprocate. This kind of love brightens your day, it makes the world feel more animated or alive, as if new life is breathed onto old bones. Then all the things that you have to go through suddenly becomes magic and just clicks, and life would not feel meaningless and dry.

Finally, a truly loving relationship, does not lack, instead we steer people so that it draws them closer to the main objective of our lives. In every way imaginable life is not something that we deserve, therefore when it’s given and received by someone that truly appreciates it, the thing that we yearn for the most is brought to life. It would not oppose the meaningful parts of our lives but rather it would raise it up so that it blesses those who are around us. Because we are after all, God’s portion and the harvest should yield more than just a morsel of bread and piece of meat because it should satisfy the one who we owe everything to.
